JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Safety & Compliance, the Corporate Security Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s corporate security plan to ensure regulatory compliance, safeguard employees and assets, conduct timely and thorough investigations, mitigate potential threats, and manage security technologies and vendor relationships. The role also includes training employees and management on security protocols and crisis response procedures.
Additionally, the Corporate Security Manager oversees the staffing, scheduling, and performance of a team of security specialists assigned to multiple locations throughout the greater Savannah area.
- Supervising and managing security operations across 7-9 locations, including hiring, training, and scheduling a team of 8-10 Site Security Specialists.
- Developing and implementing security policies and procedures to maintain robust corporate protocols.
- Establishing and monitoring KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of the corporate security plan and reporting findings to leadership.
- Ensuring adequate coverage at all warehouse locations, managing assignments to meet site-specific security requirements, and coordinating staffing during callouts or time-off requests.
- Providing ongoing training, coaching, performance evaluations, and documentation for team members, as well as addressing disciplinary matters when necessary.
- Communicating clear directives and guidance to the security team to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Preparing reports, conducting investigations, and responding to inquiries with thorough documentation.
- Maintaining adherence to safety rules and promptly reporting unsafe or hazardous conditions to the appropriate authorities.
At least 5 years of experience as a security specialist, guard/officer, or equivalent, including military or civilian police experience
PREFERRED EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize urgent staffing requirements effectively.
- Strong experience in networking and building professional relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with computer systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderate. Generally, well ventilated, and well lit. Warehouse team members may be required to wear protective clothing. Additionally, may operate heavy equipment and strict safety regulations may be required.
PHYSICAL EFFORTWork is physically strenuous, and team members are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds. Work may require excessive bending or stooping. Team members may be required to climb ladders, use hand tools, and/or use heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.). The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
