Responsibilities- Collect environmental and water samples in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct microbiological testing on water, raw materials, and finished products.
- Accurately document test procedures, observations, and results in laboratory logbooks and product release documentation.
- Complete finished product release forms in compliance with quality standards.
- Perform partial identification and characterization of microbial isolates.
- Maintain and preserve microbial stock cultures.
- Carry out environmental monitoring activities, including surface swabbing and air sampling within the facility.
- Perform quality control checks on microbiological media to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and support routine housekeeping activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Execute microbiological analyses of environmental samples, water, raw materials, and finished products.
- Record testing methods and results in logbooks and data release systems.
- Conduct quality control testing on microbiological media.
- Perform partial microbial identification and characterization testing.
- Manage and maintain microbial culture collections.
- Perform environmental monitoring, including facility swabbing and air sampling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Associate’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Previous experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply procedure manuals, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document laboratory test results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate findings clearly to all levels of management.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Gmail, and Google Workspace.
