The Lead Primavera Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed construction schedules to support successful project execution. This role works closely with project management, field leadership, and customers to ensure schedules accurately reflect contractual requirements, budgets, and project constraints. The Lead Scheduler also serves as a resource to project teams by guiding scheduling best practices, supporting schedule reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of scheduling processes and tools.

Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProject Planning, Budgeting & Scheduling:
- Review contractual requirements to ensure all labor and non-labor elements (materials, travel, and subcontractor costs) are captured in the project schedule.
- Develop, update, and maintain construction schedules using Primavera (P6) and other planning tools such as Gantt and Critical Path Method (CPM) networks.
- Create and manage work breakdown structures in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Identify and track relationships, constraints, and milestones within the schedule.
- Perform schedule impact analysis for change orders.
- Work directly with project stakeholders and customers to develop and maintain direct budgets.
- Review critical path, cost loading, and schedule content.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on scheduling best practices, standards, and schedule logic.
- Prepare and present schedule review documents and data to management and customers as required.
- Keep detailed and current project records including drawings, schedules, correspondence, and updates.
- Maintain and update drawing files and all project-related documentation.
- Support consistency and quality of scheduling documentation across projects.
- Support continuous communication with project management and field leadership teams to ensure that projects are completed according to contract and project performance goals.
- Serve as a scheduling resource for project teams, assisting with issue resolution and schedule optimization.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to the improvement of scheduling processes and tools.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the project.
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business-related field
- 5+ years experience as a Construction Scheduler (Utility Construction preferred)
- Proficient in Primavera P6
- Demonstrated skills in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems
- Ability to guide and support peers
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be willing to initiate and build strong relationships with customers and project team members
- Detail-oriented and organized person able to manage priorities with awareness of deadlines and expectations
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and customer requirements and to assist team members
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
Office environment requiring sitting and standing. Some travel to various work sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise, and the need to stand and walk.
