Jefferson Healthcare is looking for an Intermediate Laboratory Assistant to join our Laboratory Services team. As an Intermediate Laboratory Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director performing moderately complex laboratory procedures in phlebotomy, preparation of specimens, and laboratory analysis. This position may also perform clerical duties to provide support for Lab personnel and perform various pre-analytic and analytic procedures.

- High School diploma or equivalent required
- AA degree preferred
- Must successfully complete within 90 days on-the-job laboratory assistant training and demonstrate the skills required to meet CLIA requirements
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification required; as a condition of employment, application for MA-Phlebotomist Certification must be submitted to DOH within 90 days of hire.
- BLS Certification required
- Washington State AIDS Education curriculum required
- Must stay current in knowledge base, certifications and licenses indicated above, and meet Hospital-mandated education requirements
- Minimum of three years experience as a lab assistant preferred
