Position: Health & Safety Environmental Manager
We’re exclusively supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead all Health, Safety & Environmental activity at their Port Talbot site. This is a key role with real influence, combining hands‑on leadership with strategic involvement across an international HSE community.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and continuously improve the site’s HSE management systems and compliance.

Coach, mentor, and influence managers and teams to build a proactive safety culture.

Conduct audits, assessments, and risk evaluations across complex machinery and processes.

Investigate incidents and near‑misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

Manage HSE reporting, KPIs, and documentation for group‑level review.

Liaise with customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders during audits and inspections.

Support compliance with REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Dodd‑Frank, TSCA and related regulations.

Supervise an on‑site HSE Advisor and contribute to wider group HSE initiatives.

What you’ll bring

Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or similar.

Experience in an HSE management role within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or equivalent systems.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and carry out detailed risk assessments.

Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.

Confident working independently with integrity and sound judgement.

Willingness to travel internationally for occasional audits, training, and meetings.
