Are you an experienced Civil or Site Engineer? Would you like to be part of a transformational and historic project within the Steel industry? Are you based in or around South Wales?
Tata Steel are looking for an established Engineer to support on Project invictus - a project that will modernise and transform the UK Steelmaking sector.
The successful applicant will be someone with substantial experience within the Construction, heavy industry and/or Power industry. It is with the expectation that the post holder holds full Right To Work in the UK, Site Management experience and a strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation within a complex environment.

£35,000 - £50,000 (dependent upon experience)
Shift PatternsMon-Fri, 08:00-16:15 Mon-Thu and 08:00-15:15 Fri
The need for weekend working one weekend a month will be compulsory. (Overtime provided or can be swapped for a weekday)
DurationUntil 31/12/2027 initially
StartASAP (within one month) but pending the result of a medical assessment. This does include a drug and alcohol test.
Responsibilities- Supporting the civil engineering within Project Invictus
- Reviewing inspection reports raised by the asset inspection team on civil/structural engineering assets
- Developing a process for the delivery of the reduction of inspection reports
- Generating necessary documentation for the emerging works department
- Analysing and interpreting information from the electronic system
- Liaising with relevant department to obtain information relative for the pre engineering function
- Conducting investigations for the emerging works department
- Inspecting works areas to ensure safe working conditions
- Spearheading a strong, high performing and safe culture
- Time served apprenticeship (Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
- Proven experience within a large construction, industrial or power site
- Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
- Previous experience conducting site management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to conduct stakeholder management effectively
Strong UK Health and Safety knowledge and experience within a high risk environment - Proactive approach to tasks and ability to deliver on compliance and innovation
- Large capital project experience
- Degree educated/HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Black CSCS Card
- Completion of the SMTS course
- Advice and editing on your current CV
