Delivery Driver
Domino's is looking for qualified Delivery Experts to staff stores in our area. Flexible scheduling is available for those pursuing other interests or seeking supplemental income. Delivery Drivers earn an hourly wage in addition to mileage and tips, with drivers averaging $12–$17 per hour. Tips and mileage are paid out daily.
Job Description GeneralJob Duties
- Operate all equipment safely according to operating standards.
- Stock ingredients from deliveries in production areas and the walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare and prep product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
On the job training and orientation.
Communication Skills- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Navigate a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain such as multi‑story buildings and private homes.
Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record meeting company standards, and access to an insured vehicle for delivery. PIP and Bodily Injury coverage are required. Must possess customer service skills and the ability to navigate adverse terrain.
Physical Requirements- Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations. Surfaces include ceramic tile or linoleum. Work surfaces height 36"–48".
- Sitting: Paperwork at a desk; drivers sit in their vehicles during deliveries.
- Lifting: Cases up to 50 lbs (≈3' × 1.5'). May be lifted from floor and stacked on shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying: E.g., pizza sauce (30 lbs) or trays of dough (≈12 lbs each).
- Pushing / Pulling: Trays on dollies, up to 7.5 lbs of force.
- Climbing: Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance.
- Stooping / Bending: Forward bending at waist (~30–45 seconds per instance) for assembly and stocking.
- Crouching / Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuous reaching up, down, and forward; may reach above 72".
- Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping, pizza peel handling, cutter use, and cardboard box assembly.
- Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: Use of pens, computers, telephones, calculators, hair nets, aprons, gloves, pizza cutter, and peel.
Many team members begin as delivery drivers and progress to franchise ownership or management roles, including General Manager, Supervisor, or Franchisee.
