The Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales) reports to the Fitness Manager and focuses on driving personal training sales, guiding new members through their initial gym experience, and fostering member relationships. This role is essential to building a cohesive PT team, ensuring a healthy client pipeline, and delivering exceptional fitness experiences.
Responsibilities- Lead the PT team, ensuring daily targets are met, especially when the Fitness Manager is absent.
- Drive personal training sales by promoting packages and building strong rapport with members.
- Achieve sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and smooth transition into the club experience.
- Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals.
- Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive environment that promotes personal training sales and member retention.
- Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through coaching sessions and ongoing support.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper certifications and safety protocols.
- 2–3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with members, clients, staff, and vendors.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, systematic problem‑solving, good time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must hold a valid Personal Training certification.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, moving about floors and rooms, and communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to bend and lift more than 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to access and operate company computer systems, including preparing documents and entering data.
Hourly position – Potential annual earnings: $42,000 – $82,000 USD.
