• Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests, respond to guest questions/concerns, assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items as appropriate, apply selling behaviors during each transaction, and thank guests for choosing Game Stop. Circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, ensuring top-notch guest service.
• Address guest questions in person or on the phone, answering promptly and professionally to ensure top-tier guest service.
• Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
• Ensure store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised per company guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order.
• Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
• Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safety practices, and assist with bank deposits as required.
• Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the selling floor.
• Support store management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative tasks.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily business totals in the POS system; ensure closeout paperwork and bank deposits are completed accurately; assist management in maintaining sufficient cash and change; make daily bank deposits following established guidelines.
• Check shipments for discrepancies; record and report any discrepancies to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as needed.
• Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring proper labeling and packing lists.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
• Follow all store policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
• Follow opening and closing procedures and monitor associate performance with timely feedback.

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

• Exceptional guest service and communication skills; able to assist guests in person and on the phone.
• Clear verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance expectations including attendance and grooming.
• Operate the POS system and complete required paperwork; basic math and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team; problem-solving and judgment abilities.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week).
• Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs.
