Shift Availability: 20-25 hours – weekend availability strongly preferred.
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Associate at Curaleaf, you’ll be the face of our brand and the go-to expert for our customers, helping them explore our cannabis products and delivering top-tier service with every interaction. You’ll work to create a welcoming, informative, inclusive, and engaging experience, helping guests explore products and find the right fit for their needs.

What You’ll Do

Customer Experience & Teamwork

  • Greet and assist all guests in a warm, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Build genuine connections with customers, ask thoughtful questions, and offer personalized product advice.
  • Address concerns professionally and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Encourage loyalty by signing guests up for rewards programs.
  • Work with the team to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and upbeat atmosphere.

Operations & Store Standards

  • Open and close the store, handle cash, and follow procedures and regulations.
  • Check IDs, update customer profiles, and process transactions accurately.
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and stocked from the sales floor to the backroom.
  • Support inventory tasks like restocking, fulfilling online orders, and counting products.
  • Consistently meet daily sales goals by upselling, building trust, and using product knowledge.
  • Highlight deals and complementary items at checkout to boost customer satisfaction.
  • Stay on top of promotions and product updates for a seamless customer experience.
  • Remain adaptable in a fast-paced retail environment and take on extra duties as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a customer-facing or sales role with a strong focus on service.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash accurately.
  • Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with customers and team members.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new tools to support daily operations.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective de-escalation techniques and a calm, solution-oriented approach to customer concerns.
  • Basic proficiency in math and computer applications to support transactions and reporting.
  • A positive, proactive mindset for resolving customer issues and delivering a great guest experience.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Initiative and a team-first attitude, with readiness to support store leadership and contribute to overall success.
  • A natural ability to build rapport and lasting customer relationships.
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to working well within a team.

Even Better If You Have

  • Background in a sales role with a focus on tracking KPIs and meeting sales targets.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce systems and order fulfillment processes.
  • Previous experience in a regulated retail setting.
