Overview
RN Nurse Manager Emergency Services sought for HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital. HCA Healthcare is a leading provider of healthcare services with over 180 hospitals and about 2,000 sites of care in 21 states and the United Kingdom. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities- Manage the operations and activities of the Emergency Department (ED).
- Assist the Director of ED with overall department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals.
- Ensure staff performance aligns with corporate, hospital, department, and safety policies and procedures to meet care and regulatory requirements.
- Provide high-quality patient care and act as liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians, employees, and community agencies.
- Ensure efficient operation of the department and optimal use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize cost.
- Assist the department director in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service.
- Support the department director in meeting Joint Commission standards, complying with corporate policies, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, and ensuring appropriate resource management.
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure, subject to Florida requirements.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or obtain within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification or obtain within 90 days of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a full-time Charge Nurse/Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management.
HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a 229-bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission. Since 1983, it has provided quality care to the Treasure Coast community. Services include a birthing center, cardiac catheterization lab, cancer care, breast center, minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, general and vascular surgery. The Orthopedic and Spine Institute offers the latest in orthopedic equipment. The hospital is a Certified Primary Stroke Center and an American College of Cardiology accredited Chest Pain Center.
The Emergency Room at the main hospital and the freestanding ER at Darwin Square are designed for pediatric and geriatric populations. Port St. Lucie is the location, offering a dynamic community with a mix of residents.
