Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Department Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of an Assembly Department , ensuring efficiency, productivity, product quality, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The Department Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of departmental staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure that departmental goals and objectives are met by effectively managing resources, workflow, and processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and optimize cross-functional processes.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards within the department.
• Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to team members to support their growth and career progression.
• Serve as a point of contact for departmental issues, concerns, and escalations, and work proactively to resolve conflicts and challenges.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to the department.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Solid understanding of departmental operations, processes, LEAN manufacturing, and best practices.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
