Position: Physician Assistant / Emergency Medicine Permanent / Hiring a physician assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be proficient in various medical practices, including outpatient services. This role requires excellent patient assessment skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital sign monitoring.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and assist in treatment planning for diverse patient populations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care in various settings such as hospitals, urgent care, and outpatient clinics.
  • Manage acute pain management strategies and provide hospice & palliative medicine when necessary.
  • Participate in clinical research activities, including data collection and clinical trials.
  • Engage in health coaching and patient education regarding disease prevention and management.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant with relevant state licensure.
  • Experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or acute care is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and CPT coding for accurate billing processes.
  • Familiarity with various medical procedures including suturing, catheterization, airway management, and basic life support.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
  • Experience with telehealth services is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
