- High school diploma or GED;
- Knowledge and skills pertaining to Computer Information Technology (CIT), including Networking, Operating System Management (Windows/Linux), Programming (C++/Python/Java), Web Development, and Cybersecurity;
- Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and management skills;
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written;
- Strong computer/technology skills, including the ability to use office desktop software and Canvas;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels;
- Ability to interact effectively with youth and adults – students, college faculty, staff, and administration;
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain CIT labs as instructed by faculty;
- Assist students with lab activities during open lab hours;
- Provide tutoring to CIT students;
- Provide oversight of and instruction to students regarding lab activities during open lab hours;
- Assist faculty and students in the classroom, laboratory, or at other campus locations;
- Provide program information and materials to students as directed by faculty and staff;
- Collaborate with professors in lab organization and maintenance; collect data and produce reports as assigned;
- Notify appropriate staff regarding lab materials and supplies needs; complete other duties as assigned.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of 25 pounds. Manual dexterity is necessary to operate standard office machines. Employees must follow safety standards while employed.
