Full-time | On-site

Nexsure is supporting a food manufacturing client in Port Moody, BC, as they prepare for HACCP certification and strengthen their operational controls. We are hiring a hands‑on QA / Operations Coordinator to support day‑to‑day quality assurance activities while working closely with production.

This is a long‑term role. The client is specifically looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and is not treating this as a short‑term or transitional position.

This is not a desk‑only job
. Time is intentionally split between scheduled on‑floor QA checks and off‑floor QA/documentation work to ensure food safety programs are followed in practice – not just on paper.

What You’ll Do Quality Assurance
  • Perform scheduled on‑floor QA checks (GMPs, sanitation, allergen controls)
  • Complete daily line checks and verify HACCP and prerequisite program compliance
  • Review batch records, production logs, and QA documentation
  • Support HACCP certification preparation, corrective actions, and verifications
  • Maintain organized, audit‑ready QA records
  • Assist with traceability exercises, mock recalls, and internal audits
Operations Support
  • Monitor wastage, yields, and production losses
  • Verify accurate batching, labeling, and documentation
  • Work with production teams to improve process discipline
  • Act as the QA point‑of‑contact during assigned production windows
A Typical Day
  • Review the production schedule and plan QA coverage
  • Conduct scheduled on‑floor QA checks during production
  • Verify GMPs, sanitation, allergen controls, and process steps in real time
  • Review batch records and wastage logs and follow up on gaps
  • Complete off‑floor QA work (documentation, corrective actions, HACCP tasks)
  • End the day with all records complete and audit‑ready

⚠️ This is a floor‑based, hands‑on role
. Candidates seeking paperwork‑only or remote QA positions should not apply.

What We’re Looking For
  • Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of hands‑on QA or food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety systems
  • Comfortable working on the production floor
  • Strong attention to detail –
    incomplete records are not acceptable
  • Confident communicator who can manage time independently
Why This Opportunity
  • Join a facility actively working toward HACCP certification
  • Real responsibility and visibility within operations
  • Exposure to both QA and production environments
  • Long‑term growth potential as the business scales
