Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery/Mother Baby position in a rural healthcare setting with strong assessment and electronic fetal monitoring skills required.
Responsibilities

• Work in a Critical Access Hospital setting with a designated Level I Maternal and Neonatal Care department

• Assigned to Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Nursery, and Obstetrics roles

• Department averagesdeliveries per month

• Typical staffing is a two-person team covering all unit roles

• Night shift schedule

• Uses OBIX EMR system

• Responsible for all aspects of L&D, postpartum, antepartum, nursery, and lactation care within a small team

• Ability to function independently and perform multiple roles is essential

• Travelers with RV housing may find accommodation easier due to local housing challenges

• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement is specified

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby nursing experience

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT

• Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, NIHSS, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, APHON, CMA, CCMA, RMA, C-EFM

• Strong assessment and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) skills required

• Rural healthcare experience preferred
