Job Summary: The Student Services Clerk works with internal and external constituents to provide support and customer service to current and prospective students and visitors to campus.
Responsibilities:- Understand and adhere to confidentiality requirements, FERPA, and GLBA provisions.
- Communicate information to internal and external customers and assist with customer needs while providing high-level customer service.
- Assist with data entry, file maintenance, document processing, and preparation of reports as assigned.
- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining student files.
- Assist the department with projects as requested.
- Cross‑train in various areas of the college to effectively provide service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: General supervision received from the Athletic Director and/or the Vice President of Student Services.
Education/
Experience:
Associate degree preferred. Will consider candidates in process of obtaining an associate’s degree. 1-2 years successful related experience preferred. Colleague experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with faculty and staff at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Organized and detail‑oriented with high level of accuracy while meeting deadlines.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong work ethic, energetic, and self‑motivated.
- Team player, advocate and exemplify a cooperative approach to solving problems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and prioritize assignments.
