HVAC Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controlleris part of the Heartland Home Service Finance Team and will assist current and future brandswithintheir accounting and finance functions withinthe

East Michigan Region. This position will lead daily accounting functions as well as provide support to various other departments to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

• Supporting the accounting department withall aspects of the general ledger
• Assist Regional Controller withregional financialanalysisincluding monthly review of consolidated results
• Assist Regional Controller with brand balance sheetreview andaccountreconciliations
• Assist Regional Controller with annual budget preparation
• Act as temporary Controller for brands where transition is occurring
• Provide training and direction to theaccountingstaff to ensure consistency in processes
• Provide accurate and timely financial data as requested by Management
• Work with Management on specific business initiatives to ensure organizational success
• Assistingcorporatefinance team with audit preparation
• Otherad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
• Previous experience leading accounting personnel and performing a month end close process
• Previous experience assessing and evaluating internal controls
• Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Working knowledge of various accounting systems (Sage Intacct / Service Titan knowledge a plus)
• Strong commitment toworld-class customer service for both internal and external customers
• Strong multi-tasking skills; phone, computer, and people skills

• Ability to be flexible and effectively handle change
• Experience with Windows-based operating systems, plus proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
