Part-time Clerk; Planning Department

THE CITY OF PORT HURON IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:

This position will perform clerical duties as assigned by various divisions of the Planning Department, which includes Community Development, Building & Rental Inspection and Planning.

• Typing and data entry.
• Filing and scanning documents.
• Opening and sorting mail.
• Updating and maintaining records.
• Answer the telephone and direct inquiries.

• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Knowledge of BS&A Software.
• Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
• Ability to prepare accurate records and reports.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Graduation from an accredited high school is required. Additional college courses preferred in business or related field.
• Current, valid Michigan Operator’s Driver License required.

• 29 hours per week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Year-round position.

• $ 16.00 - $18.00
• Does not include a benefit package.
