Job Overview
We are searching for a self-motivated electrical engineer experienced in test equipment development and maintenance. The candidate must have a proven record of exceptional technical aptitude, efficiency, and delivery while maintaining quality and timeliness in all aspects of support, deliverables, and documentation upkeep. The role will involve on-base and off-site technical services and sustainment for U.S. Navy’s MK 41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) subassemblies, primarily focusing on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) systems.
Responsibilities- Support ATE operations, functionality, and production efforts including equipment installation, testing, evaluation, failure investigation, troubleshooting, reporting, and help with repairs.
- Assist both production and fleet efforts to ensure ATE systems meet operational requirements.
- Contribute to creating, reviewing, and updating electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve system failures and assist with modifications to ATE parts and subassemblies as needed.
- Support corrective/preventive action processes and equipment preservation.
- Deliver testing reports, failure investigation records, updated schematics, design documentation, and travel logs as required.
- May aid in design verification testing of ATE hardware and software against requirements.
- Custom Printed Circuit Board (PCB) hardware design using Altium Designer.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Required Experience:
Minimum 5+ years in electrical engineering or related experience - Required Technical
Skills:- Expertise in electrical engineering principles (voltage, current, resistance), cabling/wiring, and electrical circuit board design.
- Proficiency in generation and assessment of electrical schematics, test plans, and test procedures.
- Skill to independently identify problems and find possible root causes related to test processes, equipment, and unit under test.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated test systems.
- Hands on problem‑solving skills with understanding to troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Capability to provide accurate and concise status reports and findings.
- Preferred: MK 41 hardware and circuit board development experience.
- Bonus:
Programming knowledge in LabVIEW, .NET and/or C++.
- Security Clearance Level: Current Active Clearance Required
- Travel: CONUS and OCONUS 25%

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
