Senior Logistician - Position Description

We have immediate hire openings for Senior Logistician (Logistician III) to support the U.S. Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme as part of a larger Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) team in Port Hueneme.

Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active DoD SECRET personnel security clearance.

• Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments.
• Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance.
• The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
• It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.

• 5-7 years of professional experience, performing similar work

• Bachelor’s Degree, any field

• Experience:
  
  10 or more years, experience working at NSWC Port Hueneme or another Navy location
• Specialized experience:
  Logistics DAWIA Level 3 certified or equivalent

• Travel should be limited, possibly 1-3 trips per year lasting 3-5 days per trip
• Limited travel to the continental United States (primarily east and west coasts)
• Possible overseas travel
