Overview

Hire Resolve is currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join our client in the Port Elizabeth office. The Sales Engineer will be instrumental in driving sales growth within the Packaged Gases & Supply Chain department. This role involves acquiring new business, managing existing accounts, and enhancing customer satisfaction while achieving set sales targets. The Sales Engineer will focus on expanding the company’s market presence and ensuring consistent sales performance in line with pre-established goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prospect new clients to drive company sales.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and market insights to acquire new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing regional customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through effective account management.
  • Address and resolve customer issues and queries promptly.
  • Increase Air Products’ market presence through various marketing initiatives and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support brand promotion and visibility.
  • Perform sales administrative tasks and related ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
  • Continuously update personal and professional knowledge of the gas and chemical industry.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and technological advancements.
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales experience in a related industry.
  • Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in sales within the gas, chemical, or related industry.
  • Matriculation with Mathematics and Science.
  • Recognized Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Engineering Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of the local market and industry trends.
