Operations Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the Port Elizabeth team,
· Staff management
· Manage and supervise assurance engagements
· Plan and coordinate work for audit clerks
· Responsible for employee assessments (SAICA Assessment Process)
· Counselling, coaching and training clerks
· Perform disciplinary procedures
· Review work performed by audit clerks
· Weekly employee briefing
· Plan for upcoming jobs and continuously adapt plans to consider changes
· Report to directors and monitor progress on their jobs - act as a liaison between directors and clerks
· Meet with clients regarding audit/accounting issues
· Manage client queries
· Communicate the firm’s decisions to the audit department and feedback on audit department issues to directors
· Perform specialist roles – business plans, cashflows, tenders, fraud investigations
· Compliance with the firm’s System of Quality Management (SOQM), policies and procedures.
· Compliance with the firm’s Employee Code of Conduct which consists of the firm’s HR policies, SAICA, IRBA, and IESBA Codes of Conduct.
Requirements· CA (SA)
· Minimum 5 years relevant experience
· Staff management experience
· Proficiency in MS Office,
· Pastel, Caseware and Greatsoft experience
