Overview

Position: BOP O&M Co Manager

Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced BOP O&M Co Manager to join their team in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power plant operations and maintenance, with a focus on Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of BOP systems in the power plant

    Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of BOP equipment
  • Coordinate with O&M teams to schedule maintenance activities and optimise plant availability
  • Manage a team of technicians and engineers to ensure safe and efficient operation of BOP systems
  • Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to support maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations

    • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance, with a focus on BOP systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of BOP equipment, including turbines, generators, boilers, and auxiliary systems
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling software
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to power plant operations
