Position: Job Title:Audit Manager

Key Responsibilities

As the Tax Manager, you will:
  • Supervise and guide tax department employees, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all outputs.
  • Oversee the completion of Income Tax and Provisional Tax returns
    , ensuring compliance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Manage and review complex tax returns

    s    , and related tax documentation.
  • Handle SARS-related communications
    , including assessments, disputes, and account reconciliations.
  • Lead the tax dispute resolution process
    , including objections, appeals, and engagement with the Tax Ombud.
  • Advise and consult on various tax-related matters for clients and directors.
  • Drive training and professional development within the tax team.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Income Tax Act
    , Tax Administration Act
    , and VAT Act
    .
  • Oversee Great Soft and SARS eFiling processes, ensuring efficient workflow and data integrity.
  • Contribute to the firm’s System of Quality Management (SOQM), policies, and ethical standards.

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject.
  • A relevant Tax or Accounting qualification
    .
  • Registration with SAIT (South African Institute of Taxation).
  • Proven experience in a tax management or supervisory role.
  • Strong working knowledge of SARS processes
    , tax laws
    , and dispute resolution procedures
    .
