Electrical CAD Draughtsman

We are seeking an Electrical Draughtsman, Permanent role, to support electrical design and engineering work within a manufacturing environment for our client based in Port Elizabeth
. The role focuses on producing accurate electrical drawings, supporting engineering projects and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures.

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related qualification

• Up to 3 years experience in electrical drafting or design

• Experience with in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Proven experience using Electrical CAD software or similar

• Ability to read, interpret and prepare electrical drawings

• Computer literate, including MS Office and relevant electrical drafting software

• Prepare new electrical drawings for factory and process systems

• Update and maintain existing electrical drawings as changes occur

• Ensure all drawings meet required standards, safety regulations and ISO guidelines

• Support engineers with technical studies, design reviews and presentations

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and electrical design projects

• Track project progress from design through to implementation

• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities linked to design and systems

• Maintain accurate documentation, drawing registers and records

• Support compliance by following internal controls and identifying risks

• Liaise with internal departments and external parties when required
