Our client is a well-established accounting and tax services firm based in Gqeberha. They offer end-to-end accounting solutions to a diverse client base and are known for their hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach. The team values technical expertise, compliance, and consistent service delivery.

This role is designed for an experienced accounting professional who can independently manage a portfolio of clients. You will oversee full bookkeeping to trial balance, statutory payroll processing, VAT and SARS submissions, and monthly management reporting. The position plays a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting clients with accounting and tax matters.

• Bring 5–8+ years accounting firm experience to manage full bookkeeping to trial balance
• Process cashbooks, bank reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and depreciation
• Maintain fixed asset registers, including additions and disposals
• Reconcile debtors, creditors, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and payroll control accounts
• Submit VAT
  201, EMP
  201, UIF, and Workmens Compensation returns
• Process payroll journals and ensure statutory compliance
• Prepare monthly management accounts and Annual Financial Statements for various entities
• Handle SARS queries, audits, and correspondence
• Liaise directly with clients, providing accurate and timely support

• 5–8+ years experience in an accounting firm environment
• Diploma in Technical Financial Accounting (ICB) or similar qualification
• Registered SAIT Tax Practitioner
• Proficient in Pastel, Syspro, and MS Excel
• Deep knowledge of SARS legislation and compliance procedures
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage client deadlines
