This is a Casual position to pick up shifts when we are short‑staffed.
We are looking for someone who would be able to pick up an 11:00am-7:00pm shift any day of the week

You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, the Dining Room Server is accountable for supporting all aspects of hospitality‑style dining room service to meet the needs of the Residents in accordance with legislative requirements and organisational standards.
- Responsible for all aspects of hospitality‑style dining service, utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serving areas, setting, serving and cleaning tables.
- Assists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef.
- Practises and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department.
- Promotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Complies with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour‑ready.
- Participates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness.
- Works in accordance with the organisation’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Minimum One (1) year of experience in dining room service.
- Must have the Serving It Right Certificate, or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
- Must have the Food Safe Certificate, or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the ageing process is an asset.
- Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
