about the Role
Vitacore is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the design, testing, and implementation of high‑performance electronics and energy systems. You will play a key part in developing and refining electrical systems that interface with large high‑voltage capacitors and support advanced printed circuit board (PCB) development.

This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about hands‑on prototyping, building novel hardware solutions, and working in a fast‑paced R&D environment.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in circuit design and high-voltage systems

Proficient in PCB layout and design tools (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent)

Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics

Excellent problem‑solving, hands‑on testing, and debugging skills

Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers is an asset

Experience working in a manufacturing, R&D, or start‑up environment preferred

Job Responsibilities

Design, simulate, and test circuits involving high‑voltage capacitors and energy storage systems

Develop and optimize multilayer PCB designs using industry‑standard software (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad)

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on electronics integration, prototyping, and system debugging

Conduct risk assessments, thermal and safety analyses related to high‑voltage systems

Generate detailed documentation including schematics, layout files, BOMs, and test plans

Support rapid iteration of hardware designs and prototype builds

Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards (CSA, UL, CE as applicable)
