ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dietary Aide- Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
- Serves meals in the health center.
- Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
- Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
- abbing all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
- Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
- Attends in‑service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
- Can understand measurements and conversions.
- Are team players!
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
