Overview
Position: Occupational Therapist — Hand Therapist - Outpatient
Location: 1940 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL
Schedule: PRN Mon - Fri
Salary: $45/hr - $50/hr
Our outpatient orthopedic team is seeking an occupational therapist to join us in providing quality patient care. Hand experience required, 1+ years of OP experience required. Join our team treating various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprain, strains, post-operative fractures, etc. Splinting experience preferred. Best practices and evidence-based programs are utilized for individualized patient care. Our locations are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post surgical, non-operative to work conditioning.

- Best Practices:
Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception). - Build Relationships:
Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients. - Collaborative Approach:
Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician. - High Standard of Care:
Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise. - Innovative Opportunities:
Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines. - Leadership:
Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations. - Personalized Treatment:
Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
- State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
- Minimum 1 year hand therapy experience.
- CPR certification
- Valid state driver s license
