Education & Credentials That Power This Role
Education and Experience:
An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience:
* Bachelor's Degree:
* Civil Engineering
* Environmental Engineering
* Three (3) years of experience in civil or environmental engineering.
Licenses and/or Certificates:
* Must maintain a valid driver's license.
* Preferred:
* Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Your Purpose & Day-To-Day Journey
An Engineer II for Charlotte County Utilities is a key contributor to the planning, design, and construction of essential water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure that keeps our community running. This role involves reviewing and approving utility plans and permits, interpreting as-built drawings and technical reports, and preparing bid packages and construction documents. You will ensure all work meets County and industry standards.
Serving as a trusted technical resource, you will provide technical guidance to contractors, vendors, and customers while delivering responsive problem-solving and exceptional service to support safe, reliable utility operations countywide.
