This is a physician-only EM role with solid volume, strong support, and predictable scheduling. Best fit is an ABEM/ABOEM-trained EM physician who is open to mixed shifts, including nights.
Practice Overview30,000 annual ED visits
2.0 2.2 patients per hour
Admission rate 25%
Transfer rate 2% (primarily trauma, neurosurgery, pediatrics)
Hospitalists manage admissions
APP coverage daily (varies by weekday/weekend)

Mixed shifts required, with overnight coverage needed
ABEM or ABOEM only
EM residency trained
Florida license or IMLC
Open to mixed shifts, including nights
Recruiting outside a 50-mile radius of Port Charlotte
No overtime rate
Reduced orientation rate
Stable coverage need with multiple physicians required
