CDL Class A Truck Driver (FULL TIME) - Company Driver Needed - PORT ARTHUR, TX Terminal

We are looking for an experienced flatbed driver to join our team at our Port Arthur, TX location. The truck driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a large commercial vehicle to deliver cargo. All safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods must be followed. The ideal candidate already has their Commercial Drivers License (CDL‑A) and has previous training in operating and driving flatbed.

The truck driver will also be responsible for receiving cargo, parking in appropriate docks, tracking mileage, documenting schedules, inventory delivery confirmation, and manifests.

• Practice safe driving habits
• Follow all state and national safety large truck regulations and standards
• Maintain vehicle equipment
• Complete documentation for mileage and cargo
• Ensure cargo is secured
• Accurately follow maps and directions for time efficient routes
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
• Keep track of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses
• Confirm inventory matches shipping documents
• Refuel vehicle and check/replace oil as needed
• Inspect truck daily for damage or maintenance problems (tire wear, dents, etc.)
• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors
• Clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed
• Keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
• Maneuver truck and cargo into a variety of parking spaces and loading docks
• Supervise loading and unloading of cargo off truck

• Flatbed experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent certification; additional truck driving school certification or education a plus
• Must have a valid and current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) to operate a large vehicle
• Two (2) years previous professional driving experience or related experience
• Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations (no more than 2 violations, no more than 1 major violation, and no more than 1 accident)
• Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles
• Physically fit and able to sit for long time periods, perform truck maintenance, lift 25 pounds comfortably

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week

• Do you reside within a 40‑minute commute to Port Arthur, Texas? (Please use a maps system to determine the commuting time from your residency. Unfortunately, Sabal cannot qualify applicants residing more than a 40‑minute commute from the terminal.)
• In the past 3 years have you received any moving violations for reckless driving, careless driving, 15 mph or more speeding, following too close, or driving on a suspended/revoked license? If you answered yes to any part of this question, you would be disqualified for the position.
• Do you have recent 24 months of consecutive, verifiable Tractor Trailer driving history that the Insurance Company requires in order to qualify you? (This is an insurance requirement, so unfortunately, there are NO EXCEPTIONS.)
• Have you ever had a positive drug or alcohol DOT‑regulated test in the past? or refused to be tested for a DOT drug or alcohol screen? (Applicants with previous violations for drug or alcohol DOT‑regulated testing and SAP Drivers will not qualify.)
• Do you have Flatbed Experience?
