Base Pay Range$21.00/hr – $40.00/hr
Position SummaryWalmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. You will make an impact by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs in the timeframe outlined, as well as conduct training for Store Associates regarding care and cleaning of equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
- 5 years’ experience in maintenance.
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- 1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Vocational or technical certification and 5–7 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.).
- Understanding of the importance of Customer Service with clear, transparent, and respectful communication.
- Personal accountability and effective time management to achieve commitments.
- Adaptability to changing and competing demands with solid judgment to identify priorities.
- Belief in Servant Leadership and ability to work as a team to achieve goals.
