Bob Hope School seeks a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, on-site position at the Port Arthur, Baytown, and Life Skills at CyFair campus. The educator will design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, facilitate inclusive classroom experiences, and ensure compliance with state and federal education guidelines. Daily responsibilities include adapting lesson plans, collaborating with general education teachers, monitoring student progress, and communicating effectively with families to support student success.
This role requires active engagement with middle school students and a passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments.
- Experience and knowledge in Special Education and supporting students with Disabilities
- Strong Teaching skills, particularly with middle school students, to effectively engage and educate
- Exceptional Communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and staff
- Experience in creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) is beneficial
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required; teaching certification in Special Education preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational spaces
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of all learners
