The Director, Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the overall management of Olympic Medical Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services Department (PT/Rehab), including directing, coordinating, overseeing, and controlling the operations. Management includes the development of budget, goals/objectives, and policies/procedures; compliance with laws/standards/regulations; and the ability to oversee quality management initiatives, information services, inventory control, and human resource management. The director may perform patient care as necessary in conjunction with administrative duties, and is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with the medical staff and other OMC personnel, as well as outside agencies such as the YMCA.
This position is responsible for the development of competent staff and for the delivery of quality services.
- Graduate from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or training preferred; equivalency will be considered depending on scope and years of successful experience
- Five years’ progressive management responsibility that includes program development and administration
- Proven management experience in hospital/healthcare environment
- Five years’ clinical experience in an acute care or hospital outpatient setting
- Strong interest in meeting the varied rehabilitation needs of our community
- Licensed or license-eligible as a physical therapist in Washington State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
