Lead Commercial Garage Door Technician (Atlanta and Savannah GA)

What You’ll Be Doing- Heavy‑Duty Service:
Diagnose, repair, and install commercial sectional doors, rolling steel doors, fire doors, and high‑speed doors. - Operator Expertise:
Troubleshoot and program commercial motor operators (hoists, jackshafts, and trolley systems) and sensing devices. - Safety & Compliance:
Perform detailed safety inspections and preventative maintenance for warehouses, fire stations, and industrial facilities in line with IDEA standards. - Customer Relations:
Act as a technical consultant, providing clear explanations and professional recommendations to business owners and facility managers. - Mentorship:
Lead a helper or junior tech on larger projects, ensuring work meets our high standards of quality and safety.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years in commercial/industrial door service. - Certification: IDEA Commercial Sectional Door or Rolling Door Technician certification is strongly preferred (or a commitment to obtaining it within 90 days).
- Technical Chops:
Proficiency with welding, torching, and handling high‑tension springs safely. - Knowledge:
Deep understanding of low‑voltage wiring, control stations, and UL 325 safety standards. - Reliability: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina:
Ability to handle heavy lifting, work on ladders/lifts, and thrive in various weather conditions.
- Competitive Pay: $35 – $55 per hour (depending on experience) + overtime opportunities.
