Position OverviewTerritory Sales Manager responsible for leading sales and account planning activities within an assigned territory. You will develop and maintain target accounts, drive sales growth, and build strong customer relationships. This role offers uncapped commissions and a supportive sales environment.
Responsibilities- Lead all sales and account planning, forecasting, reporting, and management efforts for assigned accounts within territory
- Develop and maintain target accounts while driving sales growth and new business
- Understand, assess, and anticipate customers’ objectives to identify and pursue opportunities
- Acquire new customers to maximize supply center revenue
- Provide exceptional customer service and issue follow‑up, serving as the primary contact for resolution
- Work closely with supply center and corporate resources to enter and fulfill orders
- Have a strong understanding of the AM sales process and policies
- Act as a mentor for other sales representatives
- Bring core product specification knowledge, application, and value to the customer
- Understand necessary building codes and their impact on company products
- Read blueprints and perform take‑off for core products
- Sell remodeling, new construction, project work, and installed sales solutions (ISS)
- Accurately demo all core products to small and large audiences
- Negotiate correct market value pricing for the territory and seek guidance from manager
- Successful sales history with 2+ years of outside sales experience
- Solid longevity in past positions
- Self‑directed, highly organized, customer‑focused, detail oriented, and competitive
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- CRM experience required – Salesforce preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Proven experience in new business selling, upselling, and selling
- Travel 70% of the week within the region
- Experience in the building materials industry highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Preferred: working knowledge of core building material products (windows & siding) for single and multi‑family applications
- Preferred: experience working with builders and architects to create larger ticket sales
