Starting pay $21.64 per hour

1st Shift, Monday to Friday

– 7:00AM-3:30PM, OT and weekends as needed.

PPG’s Aerospace division is seeking a Material Handler! Employees may be assigned to the PPG warehouse in Pooler, GA or the Gulfstream customer site in Savannah, GA.

This position requires the use of, or access to, information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Accordingly, only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply. All applicants will be required to provide one of the following forms of identification as part of their application: (1) Passport, (2) Birth Certificate, (3) Certificate of Naturalization (USCIS Form N-550 or N-570), or (4) Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I-551).

At our Pooler, GA warehouse, you will receive inventory from PPG locations as well as third party suppliers. You will utilize a standup forklift, manual pallet jack or electric pallet jack to move and store a variety of products and chemicals in the warehouse. You will pull orders from the warehouse, label and wrap the orders to be sent to the customer facility in Savannah, GA.

At the customer facility in Savannah, GA, you will be responsible for breaking down the pallets by your assigned area and distributing products and chemicals to the point of use.

• Unload and load trucks utilizing manual/electric pallet jacks
• Label and deliver products and chemicals to warehouse or point of use locations
• Accurately pick orders and prepare for shipment including wrapping pallets
• Safely load/unload frozen sealant inventory from totes or chest freezers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse at all times
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Operate stand up forklift as needed

• Ability to obtain PPG forklift certification
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Must maintain a valid driver's license
• Must pass a federal and state criminal background check including MVR (motor vehicle record) prior to employment

• Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations and/or inventory control
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience operating stand-up forklifts and manual/electric pallet jacks
• Experience with RFID technology or scanners
