HGV Class 2 Driver

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a temp-to-perm opportunity
for Class 2 HGV Drivers with our client in Poole. New passes will be considered.

Deliveries to shops of ambient and frozen goods, mostly handball although a sack truck and tail lift is provided. The number of drops per day range from 15 to 20.

Position: HGV Class 2 Driver (Temp to Perm)

Location: Poole

Pay Rate: £16.25 (basic) – £18.21 (nights) for 1st 9 weeks. Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay. Annual salary once permanent: £33,400 + bonus.

As a HGV Driver you MUST have:

• a valid UK HGV Class 2 driving licence
• a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• no more than 6 penalty points (SP & TS offences only)
• your own transport to get to and from work

As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
• Minimum of 8 hours daily pay
• Free CPC training

This position is commutable from Bournemouth, Dorchester, Blandford, Ringwood and other areas close to Poole.
