As an Electrical Quality Inspector, you’ll be responsible for inspecting electrical assemblies, cable looms and completed products to confirm they meet defined quality, technical and workmanship standards. The Electrical Quality Inspector works closely with manufacturing and QA teams, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring non-conformances are captured, understood and resolved efficiently.
Key responsibilities of the Electrical Quality Inspector include:
Inspecting electrical and cable assemblies, piece parts and completed assemblies
Carrying out line and roving inspections to confirm conformance to specifications
Verifying workmanship standards during pre-closure inspections
Recording and reporting non-conformances using internal quality systems
Logging inspection status on inspection records and within the MRP system
Supporting root cause analysis and improvement activities to drive right-first-time manufacture
Working closely with production and QA teams to meet customer requirements
Attending and contributing to relevant production meetings
Supporting efficient, cost-effective manufacturing without compromising quality
Essential skills and experience:
Experience working as an Electrical Quality Inspector or in a similar quality inspection role
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, schematics and circuit diagrams
Strong attention to detail and a methodical inspection approach
Confident using Microsoft Office and digital quality systems
Self-motivated, able to work independently while contributing as part of a team
Professional communication, numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Desirable experience:
At least two years’ experience in aerospace or defence manufacturing
IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certification (highly advantageous)
Experience supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
