Chalk Hill Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing and acquisitive services business based in Poole. As the business continues to expand through both organic growth and acquisition, they are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function and support the next stage of growth.

This is a full-time, fully office-based role, with an expectation to be in the Poole office five days per week.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering timely, accurate management information and providing commercial insight to support decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Providing financial analysis and insight to operational and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting acquisition activity, including integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Improving financial controls, processes and reporting across the group
  • Partnering with non-finance stakeholders to support performance and cost control
  • Assisting with year-end processes and liaising with external accountants and auditors
About You

The successful candidate will be a hands‑on, commercially minded accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You will ideally have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or be qualified by experience
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role
  • Experience with in a multi‑entity, services or growing business environment (desirable)
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A willingness to work in a fully office-based role five days per week
