Overview
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join a well-established aerospace company based in Poole, Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable organization that specializes in precision engineering for the aerospace industry.
Salary£14.00 - £16.50 per hour (depending on experience and skills)
HoursFlexible start times (7:00 AM or 8:00 AM) with corresponding finish times (4:00 PM or 5:00 PM). Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week basic, with options to condense hours into fewer days.
Responsibilities- Perform sub-assembly of machined components to meet aerospace standards and requirements.
- Stake bearings, install Heli-Coils, valve assembly, bead using sealants (e.g., PR1770).
- Conduct self-inspection and testing of finished products to ensure quality and compliance.
- Read and interpret 2D drawings and assembly instructions/techniques.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, ideally within the aerospace or precision engineering sector.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and requirements.
- Ability to read and understanding of 2D engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Experience in pressure testing (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Collaborate with a skilled team to assemble high-precision aerospace components.
- Utilize technical expertise to ensure all assemblies meet stringent quality standards.
- Perform self-inspections and testing to verify the functionality and reliability of finished products.
- Work with a variety of tools, materials, and techniques to complete assemblies efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety and productivity.
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skills (£14.00 - £16.50).
