Do you enjoy keeping complex machine build projects on track while working closely with engineers, suppliers, and customers across multiple countries?
A dynamic engineering organisation is looking for a highly organised, proactive Project Manager to take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of bespoke machine build projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the day-to-day workflow of works orders alongside internal stakeholders
- Order and track component parts, tooling, and equipment, including items from Switzerland and Serbia
- Liaise with suppliers to chase orders and resolve issues in conjunction with the purchasing team
- Communicate with customers regarding lead times, provide project timing plans, and manage expectations
- Support compliance processes, including CE certification, and assist with risk assessments alongside team members
- Organise and maintain machine manuals in collaboration with external partners
- Coordinate technical communication with international offices (e.g., Switzerland) regarding project requirements
- Work closely with the internal team, providing support where necessary and maintaining a flexible, proactive approach
- Manage logistics, including freight in/out, and review and send order confirmations
- Maintain clear, accurate project documentation to ensure traceability and accountability
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in project or production management within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent time management, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of motivating and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ability to make timely decisions and respond flexibly to changing project requirements
- Competent in computer systems and project management tools
- Experience working with international suppliers and logistics is desirable
