Architect, Engineering Design & Technologists

We're seeking an experienced Architect to join a well-established practice based in Poole. This is a permanent opportunity offering the chance to take ownership of projects, manage client relationships, and play a key role in business growth.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing projects through all RIBA stages (0–7), maintaining close contact with end-user clients, contractors, and consultants. Alongside project delivery, you’ll also support the Director in driving business development, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to completion, including design, technical delivery, and coordination.
• Prepare and submit drawings, technical specifications, and planning/building control applications.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and CDM 2015.
• Mentor and manage Assistants and Technicians.
• Support business development through networking, client relationship management, and fee proposals.
• Monitor project costs, programmes, and resource allocation.
• Assist with health and safety, quality assurance, and CAD standards within the practice.

About You

• Minimum 3 years’ post-Part 3 experience.
• Strong design and technical ability, with excellent self and peer-checking skills.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and NBS.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, Building Regulations, and CDM Regulations.
• Experience of running projects and managing client relationships.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to business development.
