I’m working with an established property consultancy that’s looking to add a Building Surveyor to its team, ideally someone already on the APC pathway or about to start.

This role is well suited to a surveyor who wants to get chartered properly, with close day‑to‑day support from two Senior Chartered Building Surveyors who are actively involved in training and development.

The work is mainly commercial building surveying, with a strong emphasis on dilapidations and RCA work, alongside a broader mix of instructions. You’ll be involved in real projects rather than just supporting from the background, including exposure to a large new‑build scheme starting shortly.

The team works full time from the office, which is a deliberate choice. Being in the office allows for hands‑on APC support, regular mentoring, and learning by working alongside senior surveyors rather than remotely. CAD is used regularly; experience is useful but training is available.

This opportunity would suit a Building Surveyor who is looking for:

• clear and structured APC support
• regular access to senior surveyors for guidance and sign‑off
• broad commercial experience to support chartership
• a long‑term role with genuine progression beyond qualification

The business has a strong track record of developing people internally, and there is plenty of scope to progress within the team and the wider company once chartered.
