Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, but you can work fewer hours (minimum 12) if you wish.
The availability windows above are the times we can schedule your contracted hours. You will receive 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We support flexibility – if your availability matches closely but not exactly, we'd still like to hear from you.

Role OverviewAs the face of Tesco on the road, we deliver all the way from Lands' End to John O'Groats. Customer Delivery Drivers meet and talk to customers in their homes daily. This role is more than driving – it's about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
It's hands‑on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are ever the same. Most of the day you'll feel like your own boss, delivering to your customers with backup from managers and colleagues.

Responsibilities- Ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
- Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, and pick up litter as you see it.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the vansjed as required and check its roadworthiness.
- Communicate with customers about changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, and offer refunds if needed.
- Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
- Explain to customers they will not be charged for any substitutions.
- Deliver during the customers' time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
- Call the store or centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and improve store performance for customers.

- Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
- Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for you.
- Share ideas with your Manager and other colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.
A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
