Position: Estimator (Drylining & Fit-Out)

Fawkes & Reece have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Estimator (Drylining & Fit-Out) to join an award-winning, well-established Contractor based in South Wales, delivering high-quality interior solutions including partitions, suspended ceilings, and full fit-out packages for their commercial clients.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Estimator, who has experience working on drylining packages, to join our dynamic estimating team. The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual who can work closely with clients and the internal team to produce multiple tenders for projects ranging from £100k to £5 million across the South Wales region.

Key Responsibilities of an Estimator (Drylining & Fit-Out)

* Assist in producing estimates for drylining, partitions, suspended ceilings, and interior fit-out packages for projects between £100k and £5 million

* Use estimating and pricing software to generate accurate project costings.

* Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify material, labour, and programme requirements.

* Review project drawings for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

* Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate pricing, and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.

* Maintain and update a cost database to support future tenders and improve estimating accuracy.

* Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project scope and budget.

Skills Required

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating, ideally within drylining, interiors, or construction.

* Sound technical knowledge of drylining systems, partitions, and ceiling installations.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.

* Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.

* Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
