Job Description
  • Assist Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and supervise Commis Chefs.
  • Prepare and present food according to established recipes, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen, adhering to HACCP guidelines.
  • Control food usage to minimise waste and support cost efficiency.
  • Report operational issues, equipment damage, or ingredient shortages to the Chef de Partie.
  • Support banquet, events, and special operational requirements as needed.
  • Promote effective teamwork within the kitchen and across departments.
Qualifications
  • Culinary School / Vocational High School in Culinary Arts or equivalent, with 1–2 years' experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • Proficiency in professional cooking techniques and kitchen operations, including food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and initiative.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Experience is an asset. Prior experience working with Opera or a related system. Fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
